Any T7700 will work in your notebook. The 965 chipset supports all 800MHz and less Socket P processors. SLAF7 is a later revision than SLA43, so technically it'll be preferable, but you're not going to notice any difference between the two.

Also, please don't double post. There's an edit button for your editing convenience.

T7800 would be your top Merom CPU. Isn't that weird, that the T7700 and the T7800 have the same price from the seller you listed and $279 is insane for that fairly old tech CPU. I got my old-ex laptop with a T7500 in it for that price, two years ago.

    What about your BIOS?

Again SLA75 and SLAF6 are just revisions, they're all T7800s, they've all got a 35W TDP and they should all work. Coming from the T7300, though, you're better off going to something like the T9300 than one of these upper-end T7000 chips.

    http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=31729,29762,29761,29760,

Multiplier for my notebooks is max 11x ... maybe there's could be any prob with this 13x one ... :(

Anyone can confirm this data? ^^

    Nope .. is 45 nm ^^!

As I said, 965 chipsets can take any Socket P processor with an 800MHz FSB or less. This includes 45nm parts such as the T8100, T8300, T9300, and T9500. The only exception is the X9000 which may or may not work due to its higher TDP.

Compatibility has nothing to do with multipliers or process node; the T9300 will work assuming your BIOS supports it.

Get a T9300 or T9500... they provide the best performance and it doesn't matter whether the memron or Preyen processors as long as they use the 965 chipset and make sure you updated your BIOS to the latest version.... T9300 is gives the best price to performance ratio...

You can use a T9300, it will work. And it will run cool because it's 45nm.
Also the T8300 is great for the price.

I would get the T9300, it's a very good CPU. Plenty of cache and a high frequency.

Follow this guide and the CPU will be much cooler:
