I have a Asus B43F Win 7 Pro 64 bit . I upgraded to 8 GB ram (2x4 gig) from 2 gb the system properties says 8 gb ram 2 gb usable. I turned on and pressed f2 to get to bios. under the Main heading the only thing that i can do is change the date and time. every thing under the system memory heading is grayed out it shows 8192 MB (DDR3 : 1067 MHs) which is grayed out and I can't access it. The memory I added is gskill F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ DDR3-1333 PC3-10666 4096MB x 2 I contacted ASUS before purchasing the memory and they said this memory should work in their computer. Any Ideas how to get the ram recognized ?

Can you please post what CPU is in that computer?

It's possible that the CPU memory controller only recognizes 2GB.

Run msconfig, look in Boot tab, click on Advanced Options, and make sure maximum memory is not set.
