OK this might sound like an odd question, but you know when you get something new and you really like it,
you become obsessed with keeping it the way you bought it, no scratches etc...

so my only usage of this laptop has been putting it since day 1 on my desk, it was not even moved.

today i check and there are scratches on the back of it, how is this even possible?

nobody has access to my house, and i don't remember even touching it there as the laptop has not been lifted from its place since day1.

i also checked for scratches when i first opened i and the number of scratches has certainly increased.

    weird isn't it?

    any advice?

Often if there are dust particles on the surface (glossy) and you sweep them off using your hand, it can cause scratches, I speak from experience

Also, maybe it got scratched while you were closing

    Strange, I know
Glossy laptops get scratched for pretty much no reason :D :D

    EDIT -
    LOL

I take very good care of my G50VT-X1 also but did notice many many scratches shortly after, it happens. Get over it and enjoy the computer!

Get a non-glossy skin to cover it up.
