I've been searching for about a month without any resolution to a question I had. Has anyone successfully put a back-lit keyboard in their Asus G50 using an Asus G51 keyboard? If anyone has, I'm wondering where I can pull the +5v to power it. Another thought I just came up with, could I power on the keyboard using the same power source as the fancy lights on the LCD lid? That could allow me to turn it off when I don't need/want it. I'm unsure what the keyboard draws for power and I don't want to overload any circuits. Thanks for looking!

If you hooked it up to the lid lights, it would probably pull to much current and blow something.
