    Asus G51J to trash?? C'mon...

    Hello all,

    I have a G51J asus laptop, he doesent recharge anymore with the cable, he is working only with the batery, and everyone said to me coz is imposible to fix it coz asus doesnt suplly motherboards anymore if the laptop is not in guarantee..


    im suposed to do now ??? to the trash 1600 euro?

    Have you checked to make sure the power cable jack on the motherboard was soldered OK?

    i already taked the laptop to severals repairs shops, i didnt put my nose inside,

    but it is posible like motherboard to be broken and still working on batery?

    that's a mistery for me...

    Spain sux in hardware repair trust me....

    You could search eBay for a G51J motherboard or send your laptop off for repair... I don't know how much it will cost but it'll be less than a new laptop.

    Not always...

    If they need to replace the whole motherboard (especially for the outdated models) you can get a bill equivalent to a brand new Sandy Bridge laptop.

    no coz i changed few chargers and last i asked a retail one...and still nothing...
