    Hello,

I'm looking for a replacement charger for my Asus G73J laptop and struggling to find the right one online. I was having the laptop
repaired on an unrelated issue (hard drive failure) and the shop technician told me that the charger must be 19.5v and 7.7 amps.

I've been looking online and found a few options, non of them perfect:

There are these two that look correct and have specified correct voltage and amps. But on another review of one of their products the reviewer
points out that the pictures are accurate and they don't come with a power cord.

    19.5V 7.7A Original ASUS G53 G71 G72 G73 G53SX G74SX G75VW ADP-150NB D Laptop AC Adapter power charger: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

This one comes with a power cord but doesn't specify voltage or amps.

I'm wondering what the best option is here? Perhaps I can get a new power cord for one of the first two? Or if anyone has any other ideas
    I would appreciate any help.

    I'm in London, UK.

    Best,
    Tom

The important points are that the voltage be matched exactly (0.5V higher is okay too) and the AMPS are the minimum the power brick can supply.

Even if you find one with 200W or more but the voltage is correct you'd be fine.

Also, make sure the adapter tip is the right form factor, that's about it. All you need is a 19.5 V, 7.7+ A charger that has the right connector tip.

Thanks guys, would you just purchase one of the first two I listed that specify correct amps and voltage and buy the kettle plug separately?

Agreed... If not this, a 180W Targus Universal PSU used to work with the G73JH if I remember correctly....

    Thanks (and previous poster)

Which of these would be your first choice the first one I posted or the Targus Universal PSU?

Last question, if in the UK (LONDON) where would you order this Targus from or physically go to purchase it?

Original Asus replacement far superior to Targus power supplies imo.
