Hi guy,
I am a simple question to ask. I have a GT70 with 770m which as we all know can be upgradeed to a GTX970m or 980m..
If I take a gtx970m from ASUS G751JT' laptop will it work on my MSI GT70? Is There any "chip" on the Asus 970m GPU preventing me from using it on my msi GT70
If I take an asus 970m gpu from there gaming note book G751 JT will it work with my msi gt70
Does any one have an Idea if this will be a simple plug and play, obviously i will need to upgrade my laptop Bios first..

It's not just a "chip", it's the whole thing. Your GT70 uses MXM, while the ASUS uses proprietary module.
Edit: Actually they were using, everything's soldered now, but yeah - still no. -
Nope not possible... The G751 uses a soldered GPU... You can get MXM3.0B versions (like I have for my Alienware) of the 970m which will work in the GT70...

Asus G751 -> GTX970m compatable with an MSI GT70?
