    Hi new guy here.

About 9 months ago I purchased an Asus R510dp-fh11.

    Quick specs:

    AMD A-Series A10-5750M (2.50GHz)
    8GB Memory 750GB HDD
    AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB
    LED 1920 x 1080
    Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

So upon intial startup while the Asus logo is displayed there is a green glow along the right hand side of the screen edge. It only lasts a few seconds and then fades away. I updated to the lastest AMD graphics driver but it didn't help.

Should I be concerned about this?

Is there a BIOS update that might address this issue? Are you the only one with this issue for this model?

I would be concerned as long as it was under warranty (which you still should be in), after that... use it as-is till it dies.

No. I already updated to the latest bios version. I searched over and over and couldn't find anyone else with this issue on this laptop.

Well I can think of 2 things.

    1. Your screen is broken and you need to replace it.
    2. Your screen cable might be having issues or be lose... It probably needs to be checked out or replaced..

Hopefully its issue 2 as issue 1 will be more expensive...
