    Hello,
I have a 2011 asus k53sv laptop. Long story short, I purchased a new motherboard because the physical board that connects to the power jack is about to break. I purchased a replacement motherboard from a website that was identical to mine. Even the revision number was the same. When the product was shipped to me it was the wrong revision number. I have a rev 2.3 and the one I received was a rev 2.1. My question is will this work with my laptop without having to reinstall windows or do anything but power up my laptop. All of the parts and ports look to be in the same place.

TL;DR...will the revision 2,1 work with my asus laptop that originally had a rev 2.3 motherboard.

    Thanks,
    Mike
