Which one does better in overall performance (Specially gaming performance) ?!
Alienware 18 has 4 models but the one I want to compare with DH72x has these specs :
*** Alienware 18***:
(Processor): Intel Core i7-4810MQ processor (Quad Core, 6MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.0GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
(Video Card): Dual AMD Radeon™ R9 M290X graphics with 8GB total (2x 4GB) GDDR5 - AMD CrossFir Enabled
(Memory): 16GB DDR3L at 1600MHz (2 x 8GB)
(Hard Drive): 1TB SATA 3Gb/s (5,400 RPM) + 80GB mSATA SSD Caching
*** Asus G751JY-DH72x***:
(Processor): Intel Core i7 4860HQ (2.40GHz) (Turbo up to 3.6GHz)
(Video Card): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M 4GB GDDR5
(Memory): 32GB DDR3L
(Hard Drive): 1 TB 7200 RPM + 512 GB SSD (PCIEG2)

Both are great options but the AW has outdated HW.. also CF can't really make up for the 980M's performance.. I would suggest the Asus hence..
I would also suggest looking at the Sager NP9377-S as it will come with a 4810MQ, 2 mSATA slots, 2 HDD slots, 2X980M SLI, up to 32GB RAM and will beat both..andelian likes this.
