Hi, I want to buy a 7,200 RPM HDD for my Asus V6V, and looking at the available options I'm stuck with either a SATA or an IDE interface.

I was wondering which one was right for my notebook...

I'm really scared of spending $100 (or whatever) and not having the hard drive fit when I try to install it!

    P.S.
I'm not sure if this thread should be in the Asus section; if it does, feel free to move it!

    Thanks, I appreciate your time.

It should be SATA. Virtually all notebooks sold within the last few years use SATA.
