    Hey,

I've been looking at a load of different laptops recently as I am in the market to buy a new one.
I am yet to find a laptop that satisfies me buy at least 70% (and when im spending a lot of money it has to be at least 90%).

First of all the MSI GX660r is a great laptop has practically everything I want, the looks, the power, the sound etc. However it is waaay to thick.

The Asus VX5 lamborgini has the looks, is pretty thin, but not much power.

This brings me onto my next point, if I was to buy the VX5 is there a vendor that will upgrade it, e.g. better CPU and GPU?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

P.S I don't like the design of the new VX5 refresh the VX7 so please don't suggest that, thanks.

I believe the GPU is integrated into the mobo, so that wouldn't be upgradable. Also I don't think many online retailers even sell it anymore

Yes, there is. The GX640 is thinner and has a smaller footprint than the GX660, but has a 5850 vs 5870. Still, the 5850 is nothing to sneer at.

get the GX660... the screen is way better than the crappy one in GX640 and not to mention better specs and more RAM slots.
