Evening all, short and sweet ... I just purchased the Asus X550c (mainly for class) and noticed the completely empty 500gb HDD. Would this be a good place to install Steam/CS:GO as it will more than likely be the only thing on that drive? Is it a huge performance drop from a SSD?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Hey Kompany. Go ahead and install it. It wouldn't affect the game significantly. It will increase loading time, but everything else should be fine. You won't notice any change in graphics or lagging or anything else like that (at least not depending on the HDD). However if you are streaming/recording, depending on the drive's RPM, the program you are using and the quality of the video - you might get a drop in fps for the stream/recording.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

You should have no issues with CS.. It will run perfectly off the HD and being a low - detail game, you won't notice much difference then having it on the SSD... I wouldn't say the same for BF4 :p
