I'm wondering how large an sdhc card an eeepc 2g surf would recognize while running wondows xp pro sp2. I know there's 4gb, 8gb, 16gb, and 32gb sdhc cards on the market, but I don't know whether there is a limit on the integrated cardreader in the asus. I'm guessing it only supports up to 8gb, but I have a feeling I am wrong. Of course, the larger the card, the better, since there's only 2gb internal space, but speed is also crucial. Thanks for any help.

^ The 2G model
Yes, I had one, it supports up to 32GB cards. I only put a 16GB in mine cuz it was sooo expensive to do 32GB.
You'd better have 1GB RAM on that model, else your not doing XP Pro at all. It'll be like trying to run it on an old 486DX2. If you do want to do that, You'll need an XP lite version. Would not recommend XP on any Eee PC less than 8GB HDD and 1GB of memory ( Your swap space is almost nothing) -

No it has 512mb of ram. It had xp on it and I was optimizing it for a friend. He wants to increase his storage and the only was is through an sdhc card. I told him to sell the 2gb asus eeepc since nothing's upgradable, but he got it as a gift and you know...
Thanks for the help emike09. -
Not sure if you've found a good guide, but I used this one when I was optimizing. Its for the 16G model, but the same principles apply
