    Hello!
I got Asus A9rp laptop.I bought it with stock 512 MB RAM.I decided to upgrade the memory with a nother 1GB RAM.The datasheet says the laptop supports up to 2GB of memory so I have ordered 1GB Corsair DDR 2 533Mhz module. The problem is that the laptop does not recognize all the memory only 1GB from the existing 1512 MB.I have tryed to flash the BIOS on the latest version (v230) but the problem is still the same.I have no idea what is causing the problem....Any help would be great.Thank You!

Sounds like the module you bought is high density that the laptop can't use. Your laptop is pretty old so low density modules would be necessary, albeit more expensive. Take out the 512MB stick and it should only read the 512MB from the 1GB stick.
