Hi guys, has anyone else tried upgrading their notebook screen to FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution and have succeeded?

I recently aquired an Asus (n53sn-2gg-sx012v) notebook which has an LGD0250 screen installed running in 1366x768 res. I like the laptop, but the screen res sucks, I need much more pixels than this to work with (currently using two external monitors running 1920x1080 res with my desktop). I'm a database developer and I have a lot of things open at the same time.

I am tempted to buy a FHD monitor from ebay and make the switch but I'd rather not waste the $150-or-so if this isn't going to work. I would also like a matte panel, I never understood why manufacturers choose a glossy finish on their screens.

The laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M graphics which I'm sure is capable, but I dont know what else might be restricting me from making this happen.

    Any suggestions?

I've been doing a lot of reading on this site and I now know my screen is an LG LP156WH2-TLEA. I'm hoping to replace it with an LP156W F2 but I'm not sure if the TLEA part is important. There are a ton of local resalers in Australia for this screen, hopefully I can get one in matte and hopefully it will work!

All this for an i5 laptop too, not that it's important to me as I use my server for development but still, kinda seems like a lot of work for essentially old technology
