    Hi,

I have Asus S46CM notebook with 24GB SSD cache. The chipset is IntelĀ® HM76 Express Chipset. It is not one of the chipsets supported by Intel SRT. I want to install a new OS, not the factory recovery one. I have been researching SSD cache configuration and most of them only talk about Intel SRT. Does anyone know how Asus handle ssd caching in their notebooks?

SSD caching is SSD caching. I doubt ASUS does it much differently than Intel. I mean sure the IP is different and the software is different but after all, both are going for speed here because that is the point of this technology. SSD caching will not benefit you as much as having a dedicated SSD that has an operating system installed on it. As for how exactly ASUS handles caching, well considering how it is proprietary, I doubt anyone would give you the exact details. To be honest, I don't think you'd see a huge bump in speed in a good number of software.

Probably through Condusiv Technologies (formerly Diskeeper Corporation) ExpressCache software. A lot of OEM's use it to do SSD caching on notebooks that don't support Intel Smart Response Technology.
