Hello,
few days ago I got an Asus S200E on cheap,it came with Intel Celeron B847 and 2g. ram.
The machine works fine, but to my surprise the CPU seems to run hot although it is supposed to be ultra voltage, during idle the temp. is (50-60 C) / load (82-89 C)
this way to high , even my Acer with i7 CPU is a lot cooler.
I opened the laptop and cleaned the fan, but there is very little improvement, anyway, my question is there are anyone tried to repaste / mod the the heatsink???
the heatsink fan is similar to below image:

any aid is highly appreciated

Since it's ULV, they've probably put thermal pad in there. Try to put paste and copper shim instead. Or if it happens to be a paste, repaste with better quality paste.

thanks, I did it, they used paste, so I repaste using ARCTIC MX-4.
there is little improvement about 2 C.
what a disappointment, the heatsink is a very thin plate with a small fan. and there is no heatsink/fan radiator for better thermal dissipation,
is there is anyway I can mod this to achieve better cooling??!!! -
It seems to be space constrained, so I guess there's nothing that can be done.

can I use copper shim between heatsink and CPU??!!
