    My experience with is quite contrary to this article. I've had two Asus laptops (One the netbook in my sig) break down. My old Dell and My Thinkpad have always worked great. But everyone has there own good or bad luck with differnet brands. At least that is how I feel.

    You also forgot to mention that their gaming series laptops are the toastiest on the market...

    On that note though if you are in Europe their service is s horrendous that it puts you off getting an Asus unless they pay you to use it...
    (Our first laptop was an Asus -the on/off switch broke, and then they didn't want to replace it under warranty unless we got the mainboard changed (one USB port suffered damage?? (the plastic cap went walkies) - and they didn't want to replace the on/off switch - it took a letter to the retailers HQ to get them to do the repair on the on/off switch)
    Its no use if something is reliable when in the case of failure the service is horrendous.

    very true. asus simple doesn't have much presence in europe as compared to north america.
