Ok so recently in Belgium they finally started selling netbooks with atom N550 dual core cpu's (like half a year later than in the states), and aprox 2-4 weeks after that we already got netbooks with AMD APU's, making the atom cpu's obsolete for more demanding customers like me.

The amd e 350 delivers good performance for its price, but its still not as powerfull as for example an intel su7300 regarding pure processing power. Personnaly I'd still opt for the amd because I need the graphics power, but I'm wondering, what will be the next upgrade/chip amd will come with, and more importently, when? The graphics power which this amd e350 offers should be sufficient for my needs (but more can't hurt right :d ), but I'm really curious how much they will improve their next line of APU's with raw processing power.

Does anybody got any info on this?

I'm also curious about intels next atom cpu's, eventhough current netbooks with an atom n550 still cost around 400€ (which is about the same as laptops/netbooks with the amd e350) here in Belgium, but once the old 'one-core' atoms will dissapear from the market i'm sure the dual core atoms will also cost around 300€ too, so because of this intresting pricetag, i'm still interested in the future line up of atom cpu's.

So for the ones who got any info (or just a 6th sentence for future hardware line ups), post away :D

    Atom's are really bad...
bought laptop with dual core atom, believing Intel's marketing "It's good enough"......
feel so bad because it's friggin" slow
Even if there was newer/faster(surely not) atom's intel will just try to dry ur wallet.....
AMD is really doing good job, they will be releasing Llano APU's, which are E-350's more-powerful brother...It is the Calling that has been answered!
I hear it's faster than CORE i7 SANDY BRIDGE
check out video on youtube( YouTube - amd unprocessed)
I will be looking to buy 1 asap!

Thanks for your reply, but isn't the next llano platform for desktops? I just took a look at the graph on this dutch website Nieuwe details AMD Llano serie bekend | Hardware.Info Nederland, and the lowest TDP consumption was 65W, while the current amd e350 uses 18w: The Brazos Performance Preview: AMD E-350 Benchmarked - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

AMD has a refresh of the Brazos platform coming with Turbo Core coming later in 2011 as well as 32nm Atom (Cedar Trail) is on the way.

Atoms are weaker than Pentium-M architecture, I have 3 P-M notebooks that are more responsive than the 1 Atom netbook I had.

I thought Llano was coming like early July, and Bulldozer late June. E-350 is a step in the right direction.

Doing a quick search in google with the therm 'turbo core' I stumbled upon the amd E450 ( http://www.nordichardware.com/news/69-cpu-chipset/42585-amd-e-450-fusion-apu-with-turbo-in-q3.html), which has amd 6320 graphics instead of 6310 (which the e350 has). I have no idea if this will make a noticeble difference, I hope it does because the difference in clock speed only goes up from 1.6 ghz to 1.65 ghz which seems like a really low upgrade.
