    Atom n2600 4gb ram

    I know some people used notebook with 4gb ram and it worked i know window starter use 3gb...

    But still intel said it can burn the cpu i think???? and the ram are they really fully useable? or it will crash?

    I can't see how adding more RAM would burn the CPU, but I don't think it'll work either. Looking at the spec sheet from Intel, the n2600 has a max of 2 GB of RAM that it can take and given that the CPU was released in 2011, a time at which 4 GB SODIMMs were commonplace, I'd say it's a no.

    Im going to load 2gb + of ram if i can this is the problem if not i will just drop 2gb and use that.

    Dont want to fry it! ???

    It won't damage anything; the worst case is that only 2GB of the 4GB RAM stick is usable by the computer. Intel has a habit of gimping its budget chips.

    If you give an Atom a workload that requires more than 2GB of RAM, it's your own fault. Just sayin'. But I do agree that they shouldn't artificially limit their chip(sets).
