Just wondering what normal processor temps are for Atom netbooks.

I have an Gateway 202x/Acer Aspire One D250 with an Atom N270 and according to HWMonitor my processor is at 54 C from just web browsing.

Is this normal? I was under the impression that Atom processors were supposed to run cool but my P-7801 with a P8400 web browses at ~30-35 C.

Edit: Thanks for the responses guys ^_^

    the atom takes less voltage,
but the netbook's thermal design & chassis design also give contribution to the temps

Netbooks, especially those with no fan (ie: Dell Mini 10v), often get quite hot. Make sure you're not blocking off any heat vents, and it should be fine.

Yep, it's fairly normal for the Atom to be in that range. Hell, the Lenovo Ideapads they have at my school idle at 70C, give or take a little. At any rate, the temperature that yours is at certainly isn't going to do any damage, unless the load temperatures are quite high.
