When I play a DVD the sound is distorted, in powerdvd and media player.
In media center it does not know there is a DVD in the pc. All of my drivers are up to date and I have gotten a storm.gen virus but i have a trial of norton 360.

Any help from mods would be the best

I assume you've checked your device manager for problems?

Is this only a recent problem? If so, have you added or removed any new software?

    more info, please.

it depends what region the DVD is in and what region your computer can play, from what i remember you can only change your dvd drive's region 2-3 times..

but this might not be the case as i'm no video/audio expert, just a thought as to why it might be like it is.
