When I play a DVD I have a problem: It keeps on repeating things 3 times and stutters. If I wait until the CD drive stop running the disc and play the movie it comes out fine: for 3 seconds and goes bad again. I have all my drivers and windows updates, I reinstalled Media Player 11 and Cyberlink rolled back to media 10, THEN back to 11: and still nothing. Media Center doesn't even know there's a DVD in the drive. And NO I don't have external speakers or Headphones.

My DVDs are clean, disc drive clear, wireless off, no programs (not even antivirus) and still: nothing:cry: :confused2:

Do you only have problems playing this one DVD, or all DVDs?
Have you tried playing this DVD in a 'DVD player' hooked up to a TV?

Have you checked that your DVD drive hasn't reverted to PIO mode?
Right-click computer -> management -> (in the left column) device manager -> (in the right column) IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers

One by one, right click the 'ata channels' and go to 'advanced settings' and find a 'device type' of 'atapi cdrom' and make sure it's in 'ultra dma mode 2'.

A little bit different if you are using Windows XP.

Have a look at this - check both primary and secondary channels.

Tell me if any were in PIO mode, it might not even be a factor.
