I just upgraded my new Averatec 6130 to XP Professional. Some problems:

    - with 13 minutes let to go in the upgrade I got error messages that it could not find the file msdart.dll - I just skipped these messages and completed the upgrade. Then I installed all of the drivers provided on the averatec website.

    - Now XP runs extremly slowly. Also device manager does not show any COM ports (just an LPT) & connection wizard does not allow for a dial-up modem connection. The modem was working fine before the upgrade.

Can anyone give me some advice?

My advice would be to complete a fresh install. I really don't like the idea of upgrading an OS like that.
