I ordered a new screen from batterymall.co.uk 2 weeks ago for two reasons. They looked like they were based in the UK or least had an office in the UK and secondly that the screen I wanted was in stock.
This is the screen I ordered:
Tech: Glossy TN LCD backlit w/ WLED (blue LED + red & green phosphors)
PNP ID, Manu & P/N: AUO17ED, AU Optronics B156HW01 v7
A week later they tell me it has been shipped from China! On the website it stated nothing about 2 week lead times and the fact that their "in stock" means getting it from 8000 km away. Misleading right...
Then yesterday the screen arrives. Well packaged but wait its the wrong model... not a V7 at all but a V0
Tech: Glossy TN LCD backlit w/ WLED (blue LED + yellow phosphor)
PNP ID, Manu & P/N: AUO10ED, AU Optronics B156HW01 v0
Bear in mind I still paid V7 prices not V0. The V0 costs less on their website.
I had already explained to them I can't do a return as I am literally about to emigrate and that my old screen is defective so I installed it anyway. I wasn't unhappy about the quality and was even prepared to leave it at this and not complain but then low and behold I see no less than 3 dead pixels located on one side of the screen!
Please avoid being scammed and don't use this company. I believe they have online shops in other countries too including the US so beware.
