EDIT: I wish I could change the title. I now know that the this card WILL work in this machine, but it will not be plug and go. It will require changing out the antennas.
Has anyone replaced the WiFi antennas in this model? If so, what's involved? It looks like the motherbaord needs to be removed.
For OS compatibility reasons, I have a need to swap out my half mini PCIe wifi card for either the direct fit Broadcom BCM94352HMB with the standard 2 antennas or the BCM94360HMB with 3 antennas. The latter model is newer and faster, so I would prefer to go with that if it's possible without much difficulty.
Does anyone know if the BCM94360HMB (aka Azurewave AW-CB160H) can be installed in this machine without any more difficulty than the BCM94352HMB model?
The issues some have had with this model is the third antenna. There seems to be difficulty with finding a place to route the 3rd antenna in some laptop models and I was hoping to hear of someone who has installed a 3 antenna wifi card in this model laptop.
I will appreciate all thoughtful input.

If you want a good 2 wire wlan, consider the AC7260

Thank you for the advice, but I already have the Intel 7260AC. It's a great WiFi card, without a doubt, but it will not work on the OS X El Capitan I have installed on my second mSATA drive. I will go back and post my machine specs in the OP.
Here's a Link to the card in question: Azurewave AW-CB160H

I can't offer any advice for the WiFi and OS/x, but curious why you have the need to dual boot (specific program)? Can you elaborate for us? Ty.

As always, when running cross platform operating systems, there will be obstacles. The WiFi is one such obstacle, but it's a small one. The Broadcom BCM94352HMB will run just fine on both windows and os x, but I'd really like to run the newer 3x3 BCM94360HMB card if it's not too difficult to install it with the 3 antennas and such...
I have since come to learn that my Clevo P150SM-A come equipped with 3 antennas, but that one of them is simply not attached since I currently have the 2 antenna Intel AC7260 installed. However, I'm not sure if these antennas will work with either the Broadcom or Axurewave card.
I would love to have an answer to this question.Last edited: Oct 16, 2016tilleroftheearth likes this. -
This first photo is of the Wifi card before I untucked the additional non-attached antenna. It has the connector on it and appears ready to go, so I'm going to go ahead and buy the BCM94360HMB or Azurewave AW-CB160H and try it out. I will post back here to let everyone know how it works. Aside from being compatible with Mac OS, it should be an upgrade from the Intel 7260 AC since its specs state it as being 1300Mbs.
Below is a photo of the 3rd antenna. It has the connector already on it and should plug right onto the new WiFi card without a problem.
And here is a photo of OS X El Capitan working on my Clevo p150sm-a. Please know that I am also a proud owner of MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad gen3, iPhone 6 Plus, Mac Mini, and older Macbook. I enjoy both Mac and PC for different reasons. They are both good at what they do and I only really installed OS X on my Clevo as a fun project. For those considering doing it for the real Mac experience, I highly recommend buying the real deal. Loading a Mac OS onto a PC platform does not make it a Mac and you will not get the full Mac experience this way. With that said, here it is with my 32GB RAM (I run VMs and also use Ramdisks, but again, the extra RAM was because I could) :

(Edit):
I did a little more digging on this topic and I believe that the connectors on the BCM94360HMB are a little smaller than the connectors on the antennas that are already routed in my PC. It probably wouldn't be technically difficult, but it seems a little more time consuming than what I hoped for. The best approach will be to remove the antennas I have a route new ones in their place. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure that the motherboard will need to be removed in order to do this.
Has anyone replaced the antennas in this model before? If so, what's involved? For now, these are my only questions. I will post them in the OP.

I am very pleased to announce that this card is awesome! It is super fast with great range. I've been using it for about 6 hours now with no problems. Worked right out of the box with the U.FL to MHF4 adapters. For those in my situation, I highly recommend this setup! I'll post photos later if anyone is interested.

This wifi card is still going strong 5 months later! Super fast, no problems at all.

BCM94360HMB in Clevo P150SM-A or P150XM Chassis in general?
