Sometimes when I'm loading my laptop...the screen will go blank and i'll have to power off and turn it back on to run it.

    Possible reasons for this?

    Hi.

have you tried upgrading the graphics driver, in case it has become corrupt.

    regards

Try cycling between the LCD and external display (Fn-F8) when the screen goes dark and see if that clears it up. I don't know what's causing the problem. The Inspiron 4150 I refurbished was doing that until I reinstalled WinXP (the previous owner was running Ubuntu) and the ATI video drivers loaded, then everything was OK. Weird. It's like the drivers reinitialized the video chip or something. Just for laughs, see if there's a newer NVIDIA video driver that you can install.
