    I own 4 month old cyberpowerpc fangbook hx6-100: ( http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/FANGBOOK_III_HX6-100_Gaming_Laptop)

I won't rant much about my experience with the company, but the backlit keyboard no longer works. It was working fine before I sent it in for RMA (motherboard was replaced..another story), but was sent back to me with the keyboard not working, slightly cracked, and dirty/smudged all over. The lighting around the mouse-pad track works, and the keyboard works functionally just does not light.

For most laptops, is it simply a matter of prying off the cover and checking the ribbon attachments? I've replaced screens and other parts, but don't have experience with laptop keyboards. Any advice or links to guides would be appreciated. Thanks!
