Hi, I've got a Dell Inspiron 1520.
Because of some issue on the screen, my LCD has been replaced twice, and now that problem is gone. But on the latest two screens, there is more backlight bleeding than on the original LCD.
The Screen is the matte LG/Philips, and the original was Samsung.
The screen is very bright, not grainy, but has backlight bleeding / backlight leakage / uneven backlight.
I just wanted to hear whether this particular example of leakage is average / normal or better, worse.
Should I try to get it replaced, AGAIN? - How is the chance of a better screen?
I am most worried about the top of the screen. See the pictures:

(Screen is showing white background.)
Is that about average? (most noticeable when looking from the right/left side. When looking right in center, it is ok.
What do you think?

I wouldnt worry to much about it, If it is really bothering you, send the pictures to dell and see what they say. They probably wont give you another screen, since you have went through three of them. Thats pretty odd though, have you tried cleaning the screen with a microfibre cloth, maybe its just dirty.

Yeah, that's really bad. I don't know if it's average for a laptop (well below for a desktop monitor), but it's worse than any laptop I've seen, and would definitely drive me crazy.

As expected, it won't be replaced.
Backlight bleeding - how bad?
