So I got a used Fujitsu T2010 Tablet on eBay, love inking! A whole new beast of productivity!!!

Anyways, when I received it had Windows XP Tablet Edition installed.

On XP the Screen Brightness adjustment bar on "Lowest" would turn the screen to a very dim state...just like any other LCD when adjusted to the lowest.

Now I have installed Windows 7 x64 (I have 4GB of RAM) with all the most currently available drivers installed.

Windows 7's Lowest setting COMPLETELY turns the backlight off! I have uninstalled video drivers and reinstalled etc to no prevail...what's going on?

Secondly I feel that since the lowest is TOO low than maybe the MAX brightness is too low as well, for I feel that XP had better brightness for the short stint that I used it.

Anyways some help on this would be nice, can't seem to find anything about this on the Great Google Machine!

If you're not using the proper drivers - then no guarantees that anything will work properly. ;)

If there are no applicable Win7x64 bit drivers, then install the available drivers for Vista x64.

    Good luck.

But, are you doing a clean install and installing them in the proper order?

I did a clean install. Installed chipset drivers first then graphics drivers.
