    Hello everyone,

I am considering building a laptop from scratch. I have already done it with dozens of desktop machines since a long time ago now but I have never done it with laptops.

What I want to ask is that you give me (in case you know, of course) the link for a good (updated) howto on how to do it and where to buy the components (because I do not get to find any local retailer providing this stuff, I assume there must be one or more online shops shipping it worldwide).

I would also like to know if there is any forum or discussion board dedicated to this matter.

Thank you all in advance for your replies. :)

I'd recommend rjtech for parts. Obviously other places like newegg are good as well.

If you've built dozens of desktops, it's the same, only smaller. You shouldn't really need a "howto." :)

I recommend you the MSI barebones like the 1651, I have one and works really nice, OC features and excellent quality.
