The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This is a question that keeps coming up over the years so once again I put it to all, what is the BEST Barebones Notebook in 2009 to be released/already released, this could be either, you buy it and build it yourself using specially chosen parts, OR you buy it barebones from some one (e.g. Dream PC Tech) and fit the parts yourself.

    Either will be fine, please post all know barebones here that were made either this year or earliest Last Year...
