I need a new battery for my Dell 700m. Seem plenty to choose from at all sorts of prices.
Any suggestions how I sort the good & safe from the crap & dangerous?

Go for the proper DELL OEM battery....DO NOT go for generics..!!

What about smaller laptop vendors, like Clevo. Their batteries aren't branded to begin with. -
they are crap... i've seen users here reporting of having 5 bad batteries in a row,,,, and i've read that almost all of them are SUB-STANDARD.
buy a battery from your laptop manufacturer... that is the ONLY part i suggest buying from them... but if you read enough posts here about batteries even BRANDED batteries that were not SPECIFICALLY SOLD for thier Specific Model 9 times out of 10 they end up buying a second replacement from the manufacturer
