    Hello !

I have a question, please... I'm from Italy, so will you excuse me if my english won't be perfectly correct!

I've an HP Pavilion, a wonderful Notebook...
I use it very often, many hours in a day, and it's linked to the electric system.
Someone told me that I should phisically remove the battery from the Notebook when it's linked to the electric system, otherwise I could have serious problems about Battery Length in the future...
    It's this true or not?

    Please answer me!

    Thank you!

The only thing I've heard is that bringing the battery charge to the lowest and then fully recharging it reduces battery life in the long term. About removing the battery each time you plug it into the AC, that'd be an incredible hassle and I'm doubtful of why it would help--once the battery is fully charged on AC it goes into an idle state and all the power is drawn from the outlet. Therefore, whether or not the fully charged battery is installed while running from AC should have no impact as far as I know.

no, you do not have to do anything. leaving the battery inside while being run on electricity is OK. once your battery charges to 100% it turns off, no problem.

When used as a desktop (most of the time) and the Li-Ion battery is fully charged, I take it off and put it in the refrigerator. Makes it last longer according to research.

delpieropadova, be careful about moistures.., it could short the circuit in the battery.
