Will it last longer if taken out if it won't be turned off for about a week?

Um i did this with a Acer TM3200, after 1 year, i got 28mins on a full charge... now i take out the battery whenever i'm plug in AC, and charge it when the laptop is closed, overnight.

If you can live without the convenience of having the battery then I would store it in a cool dry place (0 celcius is best).

It won't damage the battery having it always plugged in. Same as not plugged in... But you can improve the longevity of the battery if you don't use it by storing it in a cool dry place.
