Concerning my Asus A7T; have been running my notebook on AC power until recently when I wanted to test the battery power. The battery, a 6-cell, worked well for an hours use, but I noticed that the power manager claimed that the battery still had 100% power available after the hour, during which I had been running the notebook on the high performance mode on Asus' powergear 4, which is supposed to be hard on battery life. I plugged the notebook back up to let it charge. The next day, I wished to run the notebook off battery power again. I had just logged on to windows and checked the battery life(100% available) when the notebook abruptly turned off. When I hit the power button again, the notebook gave no response. I plugged the AC back in and it ran normally. The laptop is fine except for when I try to run on battery power, and then I have a few minutes before it shuts off and becomes non-responsive. Is there something wrong with the battery or some other hardware component?
