I would like to buy a labtop. But what is the standart for testing battery life at labtops.Or at least are there any standarts for this?
    Forexample when i look
    Acer Core duo1,66;X1400; 120 Sata;1GB Ram;4800Mah lith. looks 3,5 hours
    Toshiba Core duo1,66;X1400; 80 Sata;1GB Ram;4000Mah lith. looks 2,1 hours
    Fujitsu Core duo1,66;GMA950;60 Sata;512 Ram;5200Mah lith. looks 8hours

So every brand make thier own tests to make this battery lifes or are there any standarts for this?I like Toshiba but battery life looks bad, thats why i wonder about this battery lifes!

There really are no standards. Sometimes a person will test a laptop with 3/8 brightness and get a great time. Another time a reviewer will test a laptop with full brightness and be disappointed. One may be watching a DVD, one may be surfing. Just pay attention to these small details and realize the impact it might have had on the battery.

I can probably kill my 9 cell E1505 in 1:45 playing Jedi Academy on full brightness (not really sure, never tried it). But, I can surf around 4:30 hours with a decent brightness setting on.

Just pay attention, and you'll get the gist of it.

Theres a program called MobileMark that will give fairly accurate readings but It extremly expensive.

So before buying the labtop,it is not useful thing to look how many hours battery can go.So we must just look the power (4800,5200 Mah.) of the battery instead of how many hours it write under details.Right?

The battery capacity, measured in mAh (milliampere/hour) is a good indication, however, it still depends largely on the components and what tasks you are doing. Batteries of identical capacities can last very differently on different systems. Some processors require more energy than others, for example.

A good, free software instead of MobileMark is BatteryMon.

I gave the examples of different systems at the first post.Same processors, nearly same graphic card but very strange battery life rates. So it looks like companies are making thier own standarts for testing their batteries! So which companies have good bettery lifes?

smaller screen, less powerfull video card, less powerfull cpu, and slower hard drive and bigger battery all mean longer life. and vice versa
