I don't have any DVD or BD movies where I'm located and this is kind of a random question, but I was curious to know if anyone has tried measuring battery life when watching a DVD/BD from an ODD compared to a HDD/SSD.

    1. state your HDD/SSD and ODD make/model (and/or power consumption specs)
    2. measure battery life (and/or power consumption) of playing a DVD/BD movie in the following situations:
    a) movie played via ODD (what software was used)
    b) movie played via HDD/SSD (rip file ahead of time and what software was used)

I assume HDD/SSD are more efficient that ODD, but wanted to quantify how much more efficient... if anyone can test this out, I'd be eternally grateful :)
