    Hello,

I'd like to buy another battery for my Acer 5920G but I'm facing a problem with references and tensions.
On ebay, I saw batteries said to be compatible with Acer 5920G but they have 8 cells for 14,8v (reference : AS07B42) whereas I have a AS07B31 with 11.1v and only 6 cells.
It's written that all the references AS07B* are compatible but I'd like to have another opinion because I do not know if my laptop is able to deal with a higher tension. Does the 8 cells explain the 14.8v tension ?

    Thx !

what is the model of your current laptop battery?
Is it the AS07B42 or the AS07B31?

The charging circuit usually only outputs one voltage, so using a higher voltage battery may not work very well.
If the battery you have is dying on you, its best to get the same battery, so you know that it will charge and be recognized by your system.

mine is a AS07B31 at 11.1v and 6 cells. hum on my charging circuit it's written it's capable of 19v output so do you think it could fit for any of theses batteries ? and when you're saying 'may not work very well' do you think I could screw up something definitely ?
    thks for your answer

using the 14.8 volt battery will be fine and should not have any negative effects. Part of the charging ciruit is in the battery on your system, so the battery will charge as long as the battery sends the right electronic signals back to the other half of the charging circuit. Anyways, it will work fine with your system.
