I have an Acer Aspire 5002WLMi and I have a question regarding the battery.
It comes with a rechargeable battery and within 6 months it has become 8% worn out. Is this normal?
And I recalibrated my battery by draining it completely and it made the battery more worn out by another 3%. Is it supposed to be worn out by recalibrating?

I've owned my Aspire 5672WLMi for about 4 months and my battery is wearing out to some degree, however only a few percent. I'm not sure if recalibrating is supposed to wear out the battery more, but my father's old dell laptop battery wore out slowly and was dead by 1 1/2 year mark..no longer held a charge. My mother has had a Sony for about a half a year and has had some battery life loss as well. I think that this is common, however different laptops vary.

Do you use your battery often? If you do ,that's normal

Definately normal. With heavy, daily use after 6 months I'm down 12% on one battery and a whopping 18% on another (I got two).

Definitely, the battery worn out if it only 8% there. You will see a big difference a new and used one. The battery is a easy to wear out gear compare with another parts when you use it a lot, the life is less and less.....
Cheers
