Hi, going to buy new laptop, one of these two
    1 HPnx6325 with AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 / 2 GHz
    2. Hp nc8430 with Intel Core 2 T7200 2 ghz.

Will the nc8430 be a lot faster for use in my programs (Photoshop and Lightroom)? Whilst working in these two, I also run Itunes in the background of course, to make my photoediting more musical...

Without quoting specific benchmark results, I doubt you'd notice much of a difference to be honest. I think the amount of ram you have in the system and the speed of the harddrive would make more of a difference.

From reading different reviews on NBR it would appear that the Intel is slightly quicker however.

if you're gonna handle big files that require alot of converting/modifiying and such then the Intel is definitely your best pick. Just depends on how intensive your photoediting will be, but in the end both will do the job quickly but the T7200 is overall a faster processor.

T7200 is faster according to reviews and news I read. I am personally an AMD fan, but have Intel cause it's faster. Have a look here.
