I have read enough articles on Seagate and WD in RAID configurations
to think twice about using one of these in a RAID setup but I have yet
to read an article where anyone can suggest one drive or where a drive
is known to work in RAID.

I need 1.5TB minimum but prefer 2TB drives, cost may be the deciding
factor here if the price point has a significant gap.

I read articles specific to the Seagate ST31500341AS and WD "Green"
series. I will be installing the drives into a Mediasonic 4 bay enclosure. This will connect to my HDX16T via an Expresscard Sata II controller.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

Interesting point as what drive is being recommended for RAID usage.

My preference is to get the same drives in speed and buffer and good price and go for it. Seagate does offer good drives though.

    cheers ...
