    I'm just wondering.

I may be running into a situation soon in which I will finally not have to use a monitor or notebook stand for my desk setup. That means only my nc8430 and my docking station will be sitting there.

So...my nc8430 is a pretty hot notebook when gaming. I'd really love to cool it down some, but the cooler has to be large enough to fit under both the notebook and the docking station.

The notebook is your standard sized 15.4" notebook, and the docking station sticks out another three inches out from the back and lifts the notebook up a little bit. So about 12-14.5" by 14.5" should be enough.

As far as where the cooler needs to work...the GPU and CPU are both at the back end of the notebook to the left. The hard drive (the next hottest area) is in the front to the right. So only one corner needs to be cooled well, and the opposite (HDD) corner is not required but a plus.

Well, actually a cooler that just fits under the notebook might be okay...which means 12-14.5" W x 10.5" D. But I'm not 100% certain.

    Some that I've found...

The Vantec (I think lapcool 2 or 3) is very good too.
