I currently own an acer aspire 6920-6886. Does anyone have any ideas on which processor would be the best to upgrade to?? I have looked at a few and like the look of the Intel T9300. Any help much appreciated!!!

Yeah, you can upgrade to the T8300/T9300/T9500, Penryn XE (X9000) or the Merom XE CPUs. You may need a BIOS update if upgrading to a Penryn....

Best bang for the buck, probably the T8300 or even the T9300 but since you're already running at 2GHz with your T5750, I don't think you'll see a huge gain.

I'm hoping to get to a T8300 or T9300 - just waiting for prices to come down or my budget to get some slack. :)

I see you're in Canada. I had the same feeling but I ended up bidding on a T9300 on eBay. Didn't expect to win but I did for $239.99. Took several extra days to get payment done since the seller and I miscommunicated due to my e-mail being out of date and I ended up losing $20+ because of the slumping Canadian dollar.

If you are just gaming, you won't notice a difference in the upgrade. Even in CPU intensive applications, you might save a few seconds but personally I wouldn't spend the money.
