I'm considering getting one. Looking at Belkin, Targus, D-Link. Which is the best?

Also, any concerns about putting too much load on the laptop?

I heard that Belkin 7-port had an overheating problem, but that this was solved when they switched the Cypress Tetra chips set for the SMSC Multi-Track chip set.

    Cheers.

They are almost the same...not much difference between the makes...just the design.

You should buy the one which looks the best and is the cheapest. I have a D-Link 4 port and it does its job, nothing extraordinary.
