So the plan is to replace the stock TN screen N156HGE-EAL in my laptop.
I've been checking this awesome thread:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/y50-replacement-displays-compendium.755626/
which has helped me a lot, and I decided I wanted the LG LP156WF4(SP)(D1) which seems to be an awesome matte screen. Unfortunately, it seems to be out of stock everywhere.

So, I would like to ask what would be a good substitute for the D1 model from LG?
I'm only interested in good colors and matte finish, I don't mind latency.

I could buy the LP156WF4(SP)(B1) which is glossy, has great colors and is readily available. However I would like to avoid glossy as much as possible.

What other models would be good?

Each model has a different cable position and sometimes even different connector - check that first and foremost.

eDP 30pin connector in the bottom right of the back of the screen? Yes, I already checked it.
For this stuff, panelook.com is a great tool imho. ;)

What model are you referring to? This should be where we start first so others with that model can better answer.
