You mean Laptop display and not external monitor?

There are some great displays in none gaming laptops. Are they disqualified? They would be great for gaming but you cant game with that laptop.

I think it makes more sense to narrow down the laptops that you are looking at and then ask which has the best display. Or at least give some other minimum specs that you want.

As stated, if you're looking for a new laptop, fill out the FAQ. Your question is pretty vague and it would help to compare fewer models after the other criteria have been met (such as which GPU(s) you want for games).

Since IPS screens are rare and usually not suited for gaming, I guess RGB LED is your best option.

Even rgb-led panels are rare. The only one I can think of off the top of my head thats still available to buy at retail is the famous Dell Studio XPS 16 screen. In the multimedia/desktop replacement class its pretty much the yardstick by which all laptop screens are measured against. Its sad that the standard is so low since by default you can expect a crummy, glossy dark, low resolution panels and 90% of the time thats what you'll get. There are or were some beautiful exceptions regardless of backlight method like the MPBs which have nice screens.

Theres also the Sonys with the EU VAIO Display Premium 900p and 1080p screens (F and Z series). HP Envy 14 has a goodun as does the Asus G73. I don't know which ones of those are LED backlit but theres always some exception that throws neat categorization out the window. Sony FW series had an amazing screen and that was dual CCFL backlit. Go figure.

I'm talking gaming laptops exclusively. I was looking at the Malibar Nine Series x7200 and it has a 17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED Backlit Display. How would that compare to an RGB LED?
