    What is the best processor for a laptop, that compromises batery life and performance?

    That depends on how much performance and battery life you want.

    For me, at 2.5 GHz and 25 Watts, the P9500 is currently at the best point of balance, though it's expensive and less powerful processors should be sufficient for most tasks.

    Best is hard to answer cause it's subjective. The P9500 offers a nice balance unless money is an issue.

    It also depends in what you'll be using your laptop/desktop for.
    For some the Intel Celeron M 353 in the eeePC is the best since it covers all their needs, and provides them with a cheap and light weight system.

    ill be using it for school, so performance and battery life matters hence why i said best battery life and performance processor.

    I hope you mean comprises, not compromises. P8400 and P9500 both have the same TDP, so they would probably have a similar effect on your battery life. Now the question would be a choice of performance over value.

    yeah i meant comprises, money is not an issue. i just want the best battery life with best performance. i know you cant get the BEST performance but i mean the best for which battery life is jsut as optimized
