What is the best processor for a laptop, that compromises batery life and performance?
-
That depends on how much performance and battery life you want.
For me, at 2.5 GHz and 25 Watts, the P9500 is currently at the best point of balance, though it's expensive and less powerful processors should be sufficient for most tasks. -
Best is hard to answer cause it's subjective. The P9500 offers a nice balance unless money is an issue.

I'll say P8400 for best value, P9500 is like 1 step forward. well let's see what Chaz said.

It also depends in what you'll be using your laptop/desktop for.
For some the Intel Celeron M 353 in the eeePC is the best since it covers all their needs, and provides them with a cheap and light weight system. -
ill be using it for school, so performance and battery life matters hence why i said best battery life and performance processor.

yeah i meant comprises, money is not an issue. i just want the best battery life with best performance. i know you cant get the BEST performance but i mean the best for which battery life is jsut as optimized
