    Hi all,

does anyone know the model numbers of any exceptionally good quality 15.6" screens with 1366x768 resolution? I'm interested in potentially upgrading the one I currently have in a Lenovo Y580. Turns out the cable I got with it probably won't support FHD, which is really too bad ... but a nice, bright, and high contrast ratio 1366x768 is something I'd be happy with also.

    Thanks!!

You should be able to do 1600x900. I'm pretty sure those only use a single lvds link.

    Why only 1366x768?

1366x768 screens are usually cheap TN panels and not that great.

Is that right? That'd be pretty awesome. When I look at a 1600x900 screen, how can I tell whether it will work or not?
